We are looking for an experienced Dental Hygienist to join our friendly, well-established independent dental practice in Derbyshire. This is a part-time role, working Fridays with an established patient list.
Role Details:
- Position: Self-Employed Dental Hygienist
- Start Date: Immediate
- Working Hours: Fridays all day (08:30am - 5:00pm)
- Remuneration: Competitive, based on experience
- Patient Base: Established NHS list
Responsibilities:
- Provide professional mechanical plaque removal and preventive care
- Deliver treatments under both referral and direct access arrangements
- Educate and motivate patients in maintaining excellent oral hygiene
- Conduct dental health assessments and support treatment planning
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records
- Work collaboratively with dentists and nurses to ensure high-quality patient care
- Adhere to cross-infection and decontamination protocols, maintaining a safe and clean clinical environment
About the Practice:
- Mixed practice, 3 surgeries, one of them is with a foundation dentist
- Exact (SOE) software in place
- Digital x-rays, iTero Lumina (latest!), air conditioning in surgeries
- Principal Dentist has been working there for over 10 years
- Experienced and supportive team
- Dental practice is family orientated
- Mixed NHS & Private practice
- Independently owned practice
- Easily accessible from Nottingham, Derby, Matlock, and Chesterfield
Essential Requirements:
- Valid GDC registration with UK experience
- Up-to-date immunisations (Hep B)
- Clear DBS certificate and full indemnity cover
- Current CPD certificates and two clinical references
- Proof of right to work in the UK
- All candidates must have 2 years UK experience to apply
- Not offering sponsorship
