The predicted salary is between 28800 - 48000 £ per year.

  • Manage the organisation and coordination of the delivery of the exhibitions and displays programme to the highest professional standards;
  • Work with external and internal curators in the delivery of exhibitions and displays;
  • Curate a minimum of one exhibition or collections display every eighteen months;
  • Work with the Head of HMI, the Research Curator and other colleagues on the delivery of HMI publications;
  • Identify touring partners for HMI exhibitions;
  • Assist the Head of HMI and the Institute team with the consideration of incoming exhibition proposals;
  • Work closely with the Exhibitions Organiser/Registrar and technicians to ensure the successful realisation of exhibitions from conception to completion;
  • Work closely with the Exhibitions Organiser/Registrar and technicians to ensure the delivery of required security arrangements during packing/unpacking of artworks;
  • Liaise with the Research team, Engagement Curator and Visitor Services Manager regarding exhibition related public programmes;
  • Liaise with the Curatorial team at Leeds Art Gallery on the development and delivery of Collection based displays;
  • Prepare and monitor exhibition and publication budgets in collaboration with the Exhibition Organiser/Registrar, in liaison with the Head of HMI and other colleagues;
  • Work with Exhibition Organiser/Registrar, Head of HMI and other colleagues to maintain proper control of exhibition programme expenditure and publication programme expenditure.
  • Contribute to the production of reports as required;
  • Attend appropriate meetings as agreed with Head of HMI;
  • Keep abreast of developments in the study and development of sculpture with the UK and abroad by visiting museums, and exhibitions, as well as being aware of published research on the study of sculpture;
  • Any other duties that may be reasonably required.
