Our client, a leading Tier 1 Main Contractor, is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join the business, supporting the delivery of the P23 Evelena Healthcare project in London. This role will play a critical part in ensuring engineering excellence, site control, and the implementation of quality and safety standards on a complex build scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering function on site, acting as the senior engineering representative for the project.
- Oversee site engineers and coordinate with subcontractors to ensure setting out, survey control, and QA processes are maintained to the highest standards.
- Implement and manage Sisk’s Quality Assurance procedures and maintain accurate record keeping.
- Take responsibility for Temporary Works Coordination and, where appointed, serve as the Lifting Operations Appointed Person.
- Manage and review ITPs, method statements, risk assessments, and non-conformance reports (NCRs).
- Provide engineering leadership to ensure construction is delivered in line with project specifications, tolerances, and safety standards.
- Conduct regular H&S inspections and support the development of graduate and site engineers.
- Integrate BIM and 3D scanning/point cloud survey data where applicable.
- Contribute to driving performance improvements and identifying value-engineering opportunities.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience as a Senior Engineer on complex building schemes, ideally healthcare or similarly regulated sectors.
- Proficient in dimensional control, setting out, and rotating global/local grid systems.
- Strong understanding of QA procedures and package-specific tolerances (e.g. concrete, drainage, steelwork, brickwork).
- Skilled in AutoCAD, BIM workflows, and project RFI processes.
- Knowledge of Temporary Works and lifting operations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Qualifications:
- BEng or equivalent in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards)
- Temporary Works Co-ordinator trained
- A61 CPCS Appointed Person (Lifting Operations)
- SMSTS or equivalent
- Scaffold Inspection Awareness
- First Aid certification
- Service Avoidance Training
- ASTA Planning knowledge desirable
