The Opportunity I’m currently working with a leading main contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Setting out Engineer to join a major high-rise residential development in the Wembley area. The successful candidate will take ownership of the reinforced concrete (RC) package, working closely with the Project Manager, Site Management and wider engineering team to ensure the works are delivered safely, accurately and in line with programme requirements. Key Responsibilities * Take ownership of the RC frame package from setting out through to completion. * Manage all engineering and setting-out requirements associated with the RC works. * Review construction drawings, specifications and technical information. * Undertake accurate setting out and surveying using relevant equipment. * Monitor works against drawings, specifications and project requirements. * Coordinate with the RC subcontractor and wider site team. * Manage inspections, quality assurance and as-built information. * Identify and resolve technical issues and raise RFIs where required. * Work closely with the Design Manager and Project Manager on technical matters. * Monitor progress against the construction programme. * Ensure works are delivered in accordance with health & safety and quality requirements. * Provide technical support and guidance to Site Managers and subcontractors. * Assist with coordination between the RC structure and following trades/packages. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will ideally have: * Strong reinforced concrete / RC frame experience. * Experience working on high-rise residential or major residential developments. * Strong setting-out and surveying capabilities. * Good understanding of structural drawings and construction methodology. * Experience managing or coordinating RC subcontractors. * Strong technical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and organisational abilities. * Relevant construction qualifications. * CSCS and appropriate engineering/site qualifications
