I’m currently working with a leading Tier 1 contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Design Manager to join their London team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected business delivering major projects across multiple sectors including:

The Role:

  • Managing projects from pre-construction through delivery
  • Leading consultant coordination and driving design programmes
  • Working closely with operational and commercial teams
  • Managing technical compliance, buildability and design risk
  • Chairing design team meetings and stakeholder workshops
  • Supporting procurement and subcontractor design coordination
  • Ensuring projects are delivered in line with programme, budget and quality expectations

Requirements:

  • Proven experience working for a main contractor or developer
  • Strong Design Management experience across complex construction projects
  • Good understanding of Building Regulations and construction methodology
  • Ability to manage multidisciplinary consultant teams
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience across commercial, residential, healthcare or hospitality projects would be advantageous
