A well-respected Tier 2 Main Contractor is seeking a highly organised Logistics Manager to join the delivery team on a landmark £110M, 30-storey residential development in Greenwich. Piling is complete, and the project will be starting on site in September. This role is critical to ensuring the safe, efficient, and smooth running of one of London’s most high-profile construction schemes. The Role Reporting to the Project Manager, you will oversee all logistics operations on site — from traffic management and materials handling to waste removal and site presentation. You’ll be responsible for coordinating the flow of materials and equipment, ensuring works progress on programme while maintaining a safe and organised site environment. Key Responsibilities * Develop, implement, and manage the project’s logistics plan, in line with programme milestones. * Coordinate deliveries, storage, and distribution of materials to work areas. * Manage traffic management systems and ensure compliance with local authority requirements. * Oversee waste management, segregation, and disposal processes. * Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and the site team to forecast and plan site movements. * Maintain accurate delivery and inventory records. * Ensure site safety, security, and cleanliness at all times. * Supervise and direct logistics operatives and banksmen. * Implement just-in-time delivery strategies to minimise storage requirements. Requirements * Proven experience as a Logistics Manager on large-scale, complex construction projects (high-rise preferred). * Strong organisational, planning, and communication skills. * Knowledge of construction sequencing, materials handling, and site safety protocols. * Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced environment. * Relevant safety certifications (CSCS, SMSTS/SSSTS, Traffic Management qualifications). * Experience with high-rise developments, RC frames, and tight urban sites is highly advantageous.
