An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator to join a rapidly growing main contractor based in Rochford, Essex. With a strong pipeline of work and well-established processes, this role is ideal for someone with around 6 years’ experience who is looking to take ownership of the estimating function and contribute to the business’s continued success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take the lead on estimating for a range of projects including education, commercial offices, theatres, and select residential developments.
  • Manage the preparation and submission of tenders, working closely with the Pre-Construction and wider delivery teams.
  • Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
  • Support the commercial team with cost planning and value engineering.
  • Maintain and improve internal estimating systems and databases.

What We're Looking For:

  • Around 6 years of estimating experience within a main contracting environment.
  • A driven and ambitious individual, ideally looking to step up and lead the estimating function.
  • Experience across similar sectors (education, commercial, residential) is beneficial.
  • Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills.
