A leading main contractor is looking to appoint an experienced Regional Planner to join their senior management team in a newly created position, reporting directly into the Operations Director. This is a key strategic hire for the business, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of operational programmes across multiple live and tendered schemes from pre-construction through to completion.

Location: Loughton (70% office / 30% site-based across London)

The Role
  • Ownership of construction programmes across approximately 6 live projects
  • Managing programmes from tender stage through full project lifecycle
  • Monthly progress reporting, delay analysis and programme tracking
  • Identifying programme risks, weaknesses and opportunities
  • Supporting operational and commercial teams to ensure projects remain on track
  • Producing high-quality tender programmes to support successful bids
  • Working closely with senior leadership and attending client/tender interviews
Qualifications
  • Expert user of ASTA Powerproject — essential
  • Able to independently build, manage and interrogate programmes
  • Strong operational understanding of construction delivery
  • Confident challenging Project Directors and site teams where required
  • Commercially aware with strong communication skills
  • Comfortable working autonomously with minimal support
  • Ideally suited to an experienced Project Manager looking to transition into a more strategic planning role
