Tier 1 Main Contractor | Essex / Suffolk Freelance / Temp-to-Perm | Immediate Start I’m currently working with a leading Tier 1 main contractor who are looking to appoint an experienced Document Controller to support the delivery of two live projects across the Essex / Suffolk region . This is an excellent opportunity for a Document Controller looking for a role that can initially be offered on a freelance basis, with the potential to move into a permanent position . The Role You will be responsible for supporting the project teams with the day-to-day management and control of project information, ensuring documentation is accurately recorded, distributed and maintained throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities include: Managing project documentation and information flow Uploading, issuing and distributing drawings and project documents Maintaining document registers and revision control Managing incoming and outgoing information Supporting design and project teams with document control requirements Liaising with consultants, subcontractors and internal teams Ensuring information is correctly filed and readily accessible Maintaining accurate records across the project CDE About You Previous experience as a Document Controller within construction Experience working for a main contractor / Tier 1 contractor preferred Strong understanding of document control and information management Experience using a CDE / EDMS such as Viewpoint, 4P Highly organised with excellent attention to detail Confident communicating with project teams, consultants and subcontractors Able to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
