An exciting opportunity to join a leading Tier 1 main contractor as a Construction Manager, working on a high-end, flagship commercial project in Cambridge. The role will focus on the delivery of CAT A floor works, managing subcontractors and coordinating key packages including raised access floors, ceilings, MEP installations, core services, life safety systems and landlord finishes.
About the Role
- Manage the delivery of CAT A works safely, to programme and to a high-quality standard.
- Coordinate subcontractors, labour, materials and site activities.
- Manage interfaces between trades and work closely with MEP and structural teams.
- Monitor progress, resolve issues and drive works through to completion.
- Support inspections, commissioning and snag-free handover.
- Provide leadership across the site team and maintain strong health & safety standards.
About You
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager on similar-sized projects.
- Strong commercial fit-out / CAT A experience.
- Strong site-based construction experience, ideally within a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor environment.
- Strong subcontractor, programme and trade coordination skills.
- Current CSCS Manager Card, SMSTS and First Aid.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Must have a strong and stable employment history, with proven long-term tenures within Tier 1/Tier 2 contractors.
