A respected Tier 2 Main Contractor with a strong reputation and a solid pipeline of projects is seeking an experienced Project Director to oversee two major upcoming schemes – a £92M Build-to-Rent development in Milton Keynes and a £60M Student Accommodation project in Hendon. Both projects are due to come out of Gateway in November, with site starts scheduled for Q1 next year.
The Role: As Project Director, you’ll take full responsibility for leading both projects from pre-construction through to handover. You’ll work closely with the design, commercial, and delivery teams to ensure both schemes are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage two concurrent large-scale new build projects (£92M and £60M).
- Oversee pre-construction, design coordination, and programme planning.
- Provide strategic leadership to project teams and key subcontractors.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards.
- Drive delivery excellence and client satisfaction across both schemes.
- Report directly to the Operations Director, with full commercial and operational responsibility.
About You:
- Proven experience as a Project Director or Senior Project Manager delivering large-scale new build residential or student accommodation projects (£50M).
- Strong background working with Tier 1 or reputable Tier 2 Main Contractors.
- Excellent leadership, commercial, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple live projects concurrently.
- Track record of successful project delivery from pre-construction to completion.
