I am looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Ecologist to join an expanding ecology team in Worcester. Working within a multi‑disciplinary consultancy, you will collaborate closely with planners, landscape architects, and environmental scientists on a diverse portfolio of projects across the residential, commercial, infrastructure, and public sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Ecologist seeking greater responsibility, project ownership, and career progression within a supportive and technically focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage ecological projects from inception to completion
- Undertake and supervise a range of protected species and habitat surveys including protected species, UK Hab, and PEAs
- Prepare high‑quality technical reports
- Provide ecological advice
- Manage budgets and client communications
- Mentoring junior staff members
Requirements:
- Relevant degree e.g. Ecology, Zoology, etc
- 4+ years consultancy experience
- Strong knowledge of UK wildlife legislation
- Excellent report writing and technical review skills
- Protected species licence – GCN, Bat
- Good organisational and communication skills
- Full UK driving licence
