I am keen to speak with Graduate/Seasonal Ecologists, based in the West Midlands, who are on the lookout for a new opportunity and available for the coming survey season. The successful candidate will assist with habitat and protected species surveys, whilst working at a multi-disciplinary consultancy, with a great reputation and varied projects.
Requirements:
- Relevant degree e.g. Ecology, Environmental Studies, Conservation etc
- An understanding of UK habitats and survey methodologies
- Willingness to travel within UK Midlands
- Good communication skills
- Flexible and proactive approach to work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving license
Responsibilities:
- Conducting protected species surveys
- Supporting the preparation of Biodiversity Net Gain assessments and reports
- Inputting and managing ecological data
- Liaising with project managers, clients and other members of the team
- Ensuring compliance with UK legislation and best practice
