About the role:

I am keen to speak with Ecologists, with 2-3 years’ experience, who are on the lookout for their next challenge, to join a growing environmental team in Derby. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a diverse range of projects, from habitat assessments, BNG planning and conservation strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct ecological surveys (e.g., protected species – Bat, GCN)
  • Assist with mitigation & BNG strategies
  • Preparation of technical reports
  • Support project delivery from initial site assessment, through to completion

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree e.g. Ecology, Zoology, Environmental Science
  • Ideally 2+ years consultancy experience
  • FISC (Field Identification Skills Certificate)
  • Knowledge of UK wildlife legislation
  • Experience in authoring ecology reports and habitat condition assessments
  • Full UK driving license
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

This role comes with:

  • Salary between £30,000 - £35,000 (dependant on experience)
  • 22 days’ holidays, plus bank holidays
