I am keen to speak with Graduate/Seasonal Ecologists, based in the West Midlands, who are on the lookout for a new opportunity and available for the coming survey season. The successful candidate will assist with habitat and protected species surveys, whilst working at a multi-disciplinary consultancy, with a great reputation and varied projects.

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree e.g. Ecology, Environmental Studies, Conservation etc
  • An understanding of UK habitats and survey methodologies
  • Willingness to travel within UK Midlands
  • Good communication skills
  • Flexible and proactive approach to work
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving license

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting protected species surveys
  • Supporting the preparation of Biodiversity Net Gain assessments and reports
  • Inputting and managing ecological data
  • Liaising with project managers, clients and other members of the team
  • Ensuring compliance with UK legislation and best practice
