An exciting opportunity has become available for a Seasonal/Graduate Ecologist to join a well-established, independent consultancy based in Birmingham. This position is ideal for an entry-level Ecologist who is ready to progress their career and further develop their skillset gained from university or a previous seasonal contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with protected species surveys (bats, great crested newts, reptiles, birds)
  • Supporting habitat and vegetation surveys
  • Recording ecological data
  • Contribute to the preparation of ecological reports and mapping

What You\'ll Need

  • A degree in ecology or related discipline
  • Minimum 6 months consultancy experience
  • Strong understanding of UK wildlife legislation and planning policy
  • Eligible for CIIEM membership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for fieldwork within West Midlands
