Are you an experienced chef looking to inspire the next generation of catering professionals? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established Further Education college for a Catering Lecturer to join their team on a temporary basis for the 2026/27 academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industry experience who enjoys sharing their knowledge in a practical learning environment.
The Role
- Deliver Catering and Professional Cookery sessions to FE learners
- Prepare and deliver engaging practical and classroom-based lessons
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback
- Support students in developing the skills and confidence required for careers within the hospitality industry
- Work collaboratively with the wider curriculum team
Contract Details
- Start: September 2026
- Duration: Temporary for the academic year
- Days: Tuesday & Thursday
- Hours: 8:30am β 5:00pm
- Contract: 0.4 FTE (2 days per week)
What We're Looking For
- Strong professional chef or catering background
- Previous teaching or training experience within Further Education is desirable, but industry professionals looking to move into teaching are encouraged to apply
- Relevant catering or hospitality qualifications
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A passion for developing future talent within the hospitality industry
