Carpentry Lecturer in Stafford

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Carpentry Lecturer to join our Construction team on a temporary basis. In this role, you will deliver engaging, high-quality teaching and practical training to learners across a range of carpentry courses. You will support students in developing industry-relevant skills, ensure a positive learning environment, and contribute to the continued success of the department.

The temporary post offers flexibility and the potential to transition into a permanent position, depending on both candidate preference and departmental needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver practical and theoretical carpentry lessons to learners of varying abilities.
• Prepare lesson plans, materials, and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
• Provide guidance, feedback, and support to help learners achieve their qualifications.
• Maintain workshop safety standards and ensure appropriate use of tools and equipment.
• Contribute to curriculum development and team planning where required.
• Engage with college policies, quality processes, and safeguarding expectations.

Requirements:

• Industry experience in carpentry or joinery (essential).
• Teaching qualification or willingness to work towards one (support may be available).
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to student success.
