About the Role

We are looking for an experienced HR Advisor to join an FE college based in the Reading area, with a strong focus on Employee Relations. You will support managers across the college with a wide range of ER matters, helping to ensure a fair, consistent, and legally compliant approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise managers on disciplinaries, grievances, absence, and performance issues
  • Manage ER casework from start to resolution
  • Support investigations, hearings, and appeals
  • Ensure policies are applied consistently and in line with employment law
  • Build effective relationships and coach managers on people matters

About You

  • Experience in an HR Advisor role with strong ER focus
  • Good knowledge of UK employment law
  • Confident managing a varied ER caseload
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • CIPD Level 3 or equivalent
  • An enhanced DBS certificate is essential (registered within last 2 years)
