Pastoral Personal Development Tutor
We are currently recruiting for a Full-Time Pastoral / Personal Development Tutor to join a college on a long-term, ongoing temporary basis.
Role details
The role will focus on supporting 16β19-year-old learners with their personal development, wellbeing, attendance, behaviour and progression.
You will act as a key point of contact for students, providing pastoral guidance, delivering tutorials and supporting learners through 1:1 meetings.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is confident, approachable and passionate about supporting young people.
Previous experience within a college, school, training provider or youth setting would be highly beneficial.
Experience in pastoral support, personal development, mentoring, tutoring, safeguarding, attendance or behaviour support is particularly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver group tutorials covering personal development, safeguarding, careers, wellbeing and study skills.
- Provide 1:1 pastoral support and set SMART targets with learners.
- Monitor attendance, behaviour, engagement and academic progress.
- Identify barriers to achievement and put appropriate support and interventions in place.
- Support vulnerable learners and work alongside internal support teams and external agencies.
- Build positive relationships with learners, parents/carers and college staff.
- Support learners with progression into further education, employment or apprenticeships.
- Maintain accurate records of learner progress, attendance and interventions
