You'll have access to all the tools, resources and training needed to build a successful recruitment career, backed by experienced leaders who understand the market and want to see you succeed. Whether you're already in recruitment or come from a construction background, we'll support you every step of the way.

The Role

Henry Blue is a specialist education recruitment business working with colleges, training providers and schools across the UK. We're looking for a Recruitment Consultant to develop our Construction & Engineering desk, supporting colleges with the recruitment of skilled teaching staff across trades and technical disciplines. This is a genuinely rewarding market. You'll work with experienced lecturers from areas such as electrical installation, plumbing, carpentry, brickwork, engineering, motor vehicle and construction management, while also helping industry professionals make the transition into teaching and pass on their skills to the next generation.

Your role will involve:

  • Building relationships with FE colleges and training providers across the UK
  • Sourcing and engaging construction and engineering professionals
  • Supporting candidates moving from industry into education
  • Managing the recruitment process from initial conversation through to placement
  • Developing long-term partnerships with clients and candidates
  • Becoming a recognised specialist within the Further Education construction sector

No two days are the same. One day you'll be helping a college secure an experienced Head of Construction, the next you'll be supporting a site manager, engineer or tradesperson take their first step into teaching.

Why This Market?

Construction skills shortages are one of the biggest challenges facing education and industry today. Every placement you make helps colleges train future electricians, plumbers, carpenters, bricklayers and engineers who will go on to shape the industry for years to come. You'll be building a successful desk while making a genuine difference.

About You

You may already have recruitment experience, or perhaps you're an ambitious graduate wanting to make a difference in a sector that matters. What matters most is that you're:

  • Driven and ambitious
  • Comfortable building relationships with people
  • Commercially minded
  • Organised and resilient
  • Confident communicating with professionals at all levels
  • Motivated by progression and earning potential

You'll enjoy working within a supportive team environment but also have the independence to develop your own market and client base.

The Benefits

  • Contemporary city-centre office with gym, showers, bike storage and coffee on tap
  • Minutes from major public transport links
  • Excellent holiday allowance with Christmas closure on us
  • International incentive trips
  • Lunch club activities
  • Early-finish Fridays
  • End-of-month socials
  • Uncapped commission structure
  • Clear progression opportunities
  • Ongoing training and development
  • The opportunity to build a specialist market with genuine growth potential

If you're looking for a role where hard work is rewarded, progression is real, and your success directly impacts the future workforce of the construction industry, we'd love to hear from you.
