Location: Cambridge Job Title: Lecturer of Media Pay and working hours: * Salary: £28,385 – £41,782 per annum * Working hours: Fixed Term, We are looking for someone to cover staff sickness so the length of the contract is unknown. This is a full time (37 hour) position Key Responsibilities: * Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the national curriculum. * Create an inclusive classroom that encourages academic achievement. * Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback. * Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning. * Maintain high standards of classroom management. What We’re Looking For: * UK Qualified Teacher * Experience teaching Creative Media across Levels 1–3. This is a media-led post — film, TV, digital content, radio and VFX, with the flexibility to support animation/motion graphics as part of a broader Creative Media timetable. * Ability to differentiate lessons for all learners. * Strong communication and organisational skills. * The essential attributes that candidates must possess while entering the role encompass specific qualifications and relevant experience. Firstly, the qualifications required include a Level 2/GCSE/O Level English and Maths grade C or above or equivalent. It is also essential to have a Degree in a Media or related subject, or excellent Media industry related experience. The candidates should hold a Full Cert Ed or PGCE teaching qualification or be willing to work towards acquiring one. Additionally, the candidates must have relevant experience in the field. This includes experience of contemporary Creative Digital Broadcast and Film Media. It would also be advantageous to have previous experience of assessment across different levels and awarding bodies. Knowledge about the IQA process, the UCAS process, and experience of working as a tutor will also prove beneficial. * Updated CV and an enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
