Plumbing Work-Based Learning Practitioner in Garden City

Location: Deeside, covering North Wales and the Oswestry area Salary: Up to £38,300 DOE Contract: Full-time, permanent Off the tools and into assessing, without leaving the trade behind. Henry Blue are working with a well established FE college in North Wales to recruit a Plumbing Work-Based Learning Practitioner. You’ll support plumbing apprentices in the workplace through to completion. If you’re a qualified plumber looking for a move into education, this is a great first step. TAQA training is supported. The role: * Managing your own caseload of plumbing apprentices * Visiting learners on site to assess, coach and mentor * Delivering underpinning knowledge one-to-one or in small groups of up to 8 * Carrying out inductions, initial assessments and individual learning plans * Guiding learners through e-portfolios and preparing them for IQA * Working with employers on learner progress What you’ll need: * A Level 3 Plumbing qualification * Proven industry experience in plumbing * A TAQA assessor award, or willingness to work towards one * Level 2 English and Maths, Grade 4/C or above * Good IT skills, including Microsoft and Google products * A full driving licence and access to transport for daily site visits * Desirable: a teaching or coaching qualification (PTLLS/AET) and Welsh language skills What’s in it for you: * Mileage paid from the Deeside campus * Agile working, with home working agreed around learner and business needs * Funded assessor and IQA training * Ongoing CPD and career progression in FE
