Qualifications:

  • A Level 3 NVQ qualification in Electrical Installation or equivalent.
  • Up to date knowledge of the current edition of the IET wiring regulations.
  • A full teaching qualification or professional recognition in learning and skills.
  • A good standard of education including Maths and English Grade A* - C (or equivalent) or Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy.

Experience:

  • Experience of successful teaching (or teaching practice for NTS over a variety of age ranges) on Electrical Installation courses, or similar, is essential.
  • Relevant industry experience as a practicing electrician.
  • Experience of producing effective schemes of work and lesson plans.
  • Integrating high quality formative assessments into classroom delivery.
  • Evidence of inclusive and challenging teaching strategies.
  • Supporting students to attend and meeting individual needs.
  • Being an effective team member.

Full time and part time both considered.
