Curriculum Manager – Plumbing £47,210 – £51,004 per annum | Permanent | Full-time | Surrey We are working on behalf of a well-established Further Education college in Surrey to recruit an experienced Curriculum Manager – Plumbing to join its Building Services provision. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Plumbing/Building Services professional looking to take the next step into curriculum leadership while retaining a hands-on involvement in teaching. The Role Working alongside the Head of School, you will take a lead role in the development and delivery of the department’s curriculum, ensuring students receive high-quality education and training that meets industry and learner needs. Key responsibilities will include: * Supporting the Head of School with the leadership and effective delivery of the curriculum. * Leading and developing provision across Plumbing, Gas and Green Skills or related Building Services areas. * Managing and supporting curriculum teams to ensure high-quality teaching and learning. * Delivering approximately 7.5 hours of teaching per week alongside your management responsibilities. * Supporting curriculum planning, timetabling and the development of effective systems and processes. * Driving curriculum improvement and ensuring strong student outcomes. * Contributing strategically to the development of the subject area. * Working collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders. * Ensuring provision reflects current government policy, industry requirements and evidence-based approaches to teaching, learning and assessment. About You We are looking for an experienced education professional with a strong background in Plumbing, Gas, Building Services or related technical provision. You will ideally have: * Experience within Further Education or a similar education/training environment. * Strong knowledge of Plumbing, Gas, Green Skills or Building Services programmes. * Experience supporting or leading curriculum teams. * A strong track record of teaching and/or pastoral support with positive student outcomes. * Knowledge of current FE curriculum policy and evidence-based teaching, learning and assessment. * Strong communication and leadership skills. * The ability to think strategically while remaining engaged with day-to-day curriculum delivery. * A collaborative approach and innovative ideas around curriculum development.
