School Help / Out of School Practitioner – Chelmsford (Temp, ASAP Start)

Role Details:

  • Start date: ASAP
  • Duration: Temporary, ongoing
  • Location: Chelmsford
  • Hours: Up to 27.5 hrs/week, split across two shifts: 7:00–9:00am & 2:45–6:30pm
  • Pay: ÂŁ14.50 per hour (PAYE)

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or issued within the last 10 months
  • Experience working with children preferred
  • Passion for supporting and working with children
  • Relevant childcare qualification or experience is desirable

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely escort children to and from school
  • Plan and deliver activities, supervise play, and support children in the playground
  • Prepare and serve meals; maintain cleanliness (“clean as you go”)
  • Follow safeguarding procedures and promote children’s wellbeing
  • Create a stimulating, safe, and caring environment tailored to children’s interests and needs
