Are you an experienced chef looking to inspire the next generation of catering professionals? We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established Further Education college for a Catering Lecturer to join their team on a temporary basis for the 2026/27 academic year. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with industry experience who enjoys sharing their knowledge in a practical learning environment.

The Role

  • Deliver Catering and Professional Cookery sessions to FE learners
  • Prepare and deliver engaging practical and classroom-based lessons
  • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Support students in developing the skills and confidence required for careers within the hospitality industry
  • Work collaboratively with the wider curriculum team

Contract Details

  • Start: September 2026
  • Duration: Temporary for the academic year
  • Days: Tuesday 5:00pm
  • Contract: 0.4 FTE (2 days per week)

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong professional chef or catering background
  • Previous teaching or training experience within Further Education is desirable, but industry professionals looking to move into education are encouraged to apply.
