SEMH Learning Support Assistant - Milton Keynes
Location: Nuneaton
Hours: Part Time | 8:30am - 3:30pm
Working Pattern: Term time only
Pay: Β£15.00 per hour
Duration: Ongoing
We are currently looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join an alternative education setting in Milton Keynes, supporting young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting young people, building positive relationships and helping students overcome barriers to learning.
The Role
- Provide one-to-one and small-group support to young people.
- Support students with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour.
- Build positive and trusting relationships with students.
- Encourage engagement, confidence and positive behaviour.
- Support students within the classroom and wider educational environment.
- Work closely with teaching and support staff to provide consistent support.
About You
- Experience supporting young people with SEMH, challenging behaviour, education or care is beneficial.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Patient, resilient and approachable.
- Able to remain calm and consistent when managing challenging situations.
- Passionate about supporting young people and helping them achieve their potential.
- Transferable experience will also be considered.
