Henriksen Studio is seeking a highly motivated Senior Facade Designer with at least 5 years experience to join our dynamic team of facade engineering, design, and Passivhaus professionals. This is a client-facing, project-driven role where you’ll be managing multiple schemes simultaneously from concept through to completion. Projects vary in scale, detail, and complexity, requiring both creativity and technical precision. You’ll develop high-quality building envelope solutions, draft detailed construction drawings, and collaborate closely with architects and consultants to bring innovative, sustainable facades to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead design development and delivery on facade engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with architects in the creative design process.
  • Contribute to future-ready buildings that align with net-zero carbon targets.
  • Produce accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings, ensuring clarity, detail, and coordination.
  • Deliver sketches, drawings, and specifications to a consistently high standard.

  • Represent Henriksen Studio at workshops, design meetings, and site visits.

Your Profile

  • Degree (BSc/Masters) in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture.
  • Proven facade engineering or facade contractor experience.
  • Strong knowledge of facade systems, particularly unitised curtain wall systems.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software (AutoCAD essential).
  • Organised, adaptable, and able to meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and an effective communicator.
  • Willingness to travel and flexibility during busy periods.
  • Familiarity with building physics and structural analysis software is advantageous.
