About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Facade Engineer with 3–5 years of experience to join our dynamic team of leading facade engineering, design, and Passivhaus professionals. This role requires the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, as our projects vary significantly in scale, detail, and complexity. Responsibilities include developing building envelope schemes from concept to completion and drafting detailed facade construction drawings. A strong background in facade design, along with proficiency in CAD software, is required.

Key Responsibilities
- Focused on the design development and facade engineering projects.
- Collaborating with key architects in the creative process of facade design.
- Assisting in the development of future buildings that align with net-zero carbon targets and address the climate change crisis.
- Producing accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings with the appropriate level of detail, based on principles and dimensions communicated by colleagues and collaborators through sketches and emails.
- Producing sketches, drawings, and specification deliverables, ensuring coordination with other parties and maintaining a high standard of work.
- Applying company procedures effectively to achieve the best outcomes for projects.
- Representing Henriksen Studio at workshops, design team meetings, and site meetings with clients and collaborators, as required.
Your Profile
- BSc or Master’s degree in Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Architecture, with experience working for a facade engineering consultancy or facade contractor.
- Construction industry experience.
- Strong aptitude for facade design, particularly unitised curtain wall systems.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D design software, including (but not limited to) AutoCAD.
- Highly organised, adaptable, and able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive, enthusiastic, and a strong team player.
- Flexibility with working hours, especially during busy periods and a willingness to travel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with building physics and structural analysis software.
