About the Role

Henriksen Studio is looking for a skilled Facade Consultant to lead facade development under construction and facade remedial issues, technical assessments, and management of facade projects through RIBA Stage 5. This role involves undertaking site and factory visits, stakeholder management, and technical reporting. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure facade systems are designed, constructed, and maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design development: Support design development of facade engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with standards.
  • Site & Factory Visits: Regularly assess installations and manufacturing, maintaining quality and resolving issues (may include EU travel).
  • Technical Reporting: Produce detailed reports and communicate progress, challenges, and recommendations.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee facade manufacturing and installation, ensuring compliance with project specs. Support in conveying manufacturing capabilities and restrictions to the rest of the design team.

Your Profile

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years in facade engineering or manufacturing, with experience in project coordination and technical reporting
  • Strong knowledge of facade systems, materials, and construction methods
  • Excellent technical writing, leadership, and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed
  • Valid CSCS card (or ability to obtain one) to enable access to UK construction sites

Preferred Skills

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, and BIM
  • Experience with sustainable facade engineering and or manufacturing
