The Henley College are looking for an experienced Teacher of Sport to join our friendly and supportive Sports team. You’ll have the opportunity to teach a broad range of courses, including A Level Physical Education, BTEC Level 3 Sport and Exercise Science, BTEC Level 3 Sport and BTEC Level 2 Gym Instructor. You’ll have access to excellent facilities and will be working alongside partners such as Wycombe Wanderers, Reading Rockets, Leander Club and Gloucester Rugby. Essential Criteria
- Teaching Qualification
- Degree in the relevant field or substantial experience
- Level 2 Gym/Fitness Instructor qualification
- Level 3 Assessor qualification (or working towards)
- Commitment to active and student-centred learning
- Commitment to keeping up-to-date with educational developments affecting the work of the College and sport
- Energy, enthusiasm and the ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
- Well-developed organisational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a committed team of teachers and support staff

- Hours of work: 0.5 FTE
- Start Date: 1st Sept 2026
- Annual leave: 66 days per leave year (from 1 September to 31 August) (pro-rated for Part time)
- Salary: The salary will be on the Henley College Teachers’ Spine from £30,759.00 up to £48,513.00 per annum (pro-rated for part time)
