Henley Recruitment are seeking an experienced and proactive mechanical contracts manager to oversee daily site operations in Central London. The role will be overseeing a large mixed-use refurbishment project, taking the project from final design to completion/commissioning. This role requires excellent leadership, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to confidently communicate with subcontractors and clients. The ideal candidate will have a solid H&S background and the ability to build positive working relationships onsite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day site activities and workforce coordination
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, tenants, and project stakeholders
- Ensure works are carried out safely, on schedule, and to specification
- Instruct regular site inspections and enforce compliance with H&S standards
- Prepare and maintain site records, including RAMS and daily logs
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid SMSTS certification
- CSCS card - Management
- First Aid trained
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to nurture positive client relationships
- Sound understanding of construction processes and building regulations
- IT-literate (e.g., MS Office, site reporting software)
- Knowledge and minimum 5 years experience of Mechanical / MEP installations
