We are currently recruiting for an industry-leading sales professional to join the Henley Media Group sales team to sell sponsorship packages internationally. Henley Media Group delivers authoritative media solutions to engage audiences – from headline conferences, industry exhibitions and awards-dinners, to monthly magazines, ministerial reference books and integrated websites.

Our portfolio spans across a wide range of sectors, from clean energy and sustainable development to the business of sport and is produced in partnership with some of the world’s most respected organisations.

The Role The candidate will join a successful conference team to strengthen our fast growing portfolio working across our international events series. We work across a diverse portfolio of events in the USA, Europe and Asia, which means there is a requirement for you to travel, including to our work-spaces in Shanghai, New York, Sydney and Singapore.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Close and repeat high-value business on conference portfolios
  • Maximising revenue through sponsorship sales; including rebooks
  • Focus on £30k+ packages
  • Developing relationship with decision makers only in order to do business and build accounts
  • Identifying and securing new customers who can be developed into major accounts
  • Achieving and exceeding monthly sales targets
  • Achieving and exceeding daily KPI’s
  • Managing a sales pipeline document for reporting purposes
  • Forecasting business accurately on a weekly and monthly basis
  • Gathering product and company feedback from clients and prospects

The successful applicant will have:

  • A solid and proven background in conference sales
  • Proven track record of winning new business and successfully account managing existing clients
  • Able to sell on concept and provide a consultative sales approach with an excellent telephone manner
