Service Transition Manager – Bristol

A brilliant opportunity for an experienced Service Transition Manager to take ownership of end‑user and endpoint service transitions, driving smooth, well‑governed handovers into BAU and ensuring organisations experience seamless, disruption‑free change.

You’ll lead the transition of endpoint and end‑user IT services, covering End Point Management, Device Lifecycle, collaboration platforms like M365/Teams, and End User Support, into steady‑state operations.

Acting as the single point of accountability across delivery, operations and business leadership, you’ll shape ITIL‑aligned transition plans that keep stakeholders informed, risks controlled, and services ready for go‑live.

Some of the Key Responsibilities

  • Build and deliver transition and business‑integration plans covering risk, communications and readiness.
  • Coordinate Service Owners, Architects, PMs and Operations to define acceptance criteria and handover deliverables.
  • Ensure runbooks, service design packages, SLAs/OLAs and knowledge articles are complete and approved pre‑go‑live.
  • Manage ELS and formal transition into BAU support.
  • Integrate new technologies and managed‑service vendors into the operational ecosystem.
  • Support hardware refreshes, endpoint security rollouts and collaboration platform migrations.
  • Maintain readiness checklists, risk registers, issue/dependency logs and provide progress dashboards.

  • Proven experience managing IT service transitions in End User / Endpoint / Digital Workplace environments
  • Strong
  • ITIL knowledge across Service Transition, Service Operation and Change Enablement
  • A track record delivering operational readiness, ELS and BAU handovers in enterprise IT
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Strong planning, organisation and problem‑solving abilities
  • Experience creating and maintaining project plans and transition artefacts
  • A proactive approach to risk management, quality delivery and continuous improvement
