We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team, supporting a major project based in Aldermaston.
This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused QS with strong NEC4 Option A experience to work on a long-term project while benefiting from a flexible working arrangement between site and the company's office in Wombourne.
The Role
- Managing the commercial aspects of a live project.
- Administering and managing contracts under NEC4 Option A.
- Cost reporting, forecasting and valuations.
- Managing subcontractor accounts and payments.
- Variations, compensation events and change management.
- Working closely with the project and commercial teams to ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
- Attending both the Aldermaston project site and the Wombourne office as required.
Requirements
- Proven experience working as a Quantity Surveyor on civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Extensive knowledge of NEC4 Option A contracts is essential.
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
- Ability to work independently while supporting the wider commercial team.
- Must be able to gain access to and travel to the Aldermaston project site.
- Happy to split time between the Wombourne office and site, with flexibility around working days.
