Role Overview

As an Electrical Estimator, your main responsibility will be to produce accurate, detailed, and competitive tenders and quotations for a range of commercial electrical and BMS projects. You’ll liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and the in‐house design team to ensure all tenders are professionally prepared, cost‐effective, and aligned with client specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed electrical and BMS project estimates and tender submissions for commercial installations.
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, and documentation to determine project scope and cost.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Identify cost‐saving opportunities and provide value‐engineering options where appropriate.
  • Work closely with the pre‐construction and design teams to ensure all tenders are accurate and complete.
  • Manage multiple tenders simultaneously within deadlines.
  • Attend site visits and pre‐tender meetings as required.

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Estimator within building services, BMS, or electrical contracting.
  • Strong technical understanding of electrical systems, BMS controls, and commercial installations.
  • Experience working on hospital, office, or large commercial projects.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Proficient in estimating software such as Amtech, Trimble, or equivalent, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Able to manage workloads efficiently in a fast‐paced environment.
  • Full UK driving licence.
