Quantity Surveyor – Roofing & Cladding Location: Waltham Abbey Experience: Minimum 4 years Sector: Roofing, Cladding & External Envelope We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join an established specialist roofing and cladding contractor. The successful candidate will work closely with the wider commercial, design, procurement and construction teams to manage and control the commercial and financial aspects of multiple projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking to further develop their career within the roofing, cladding, façade or external envelope sector. Key Responsibilities * Prepare and manage applications for payment, variations and associated commercial documentation. * Produce regular cost reports, reconciliations and financial forecasts. * Monitor monthly application figures and communicate budgets and financial constraints to relevant teams. * Prepare Early Warning Notices, Extension of Time Requests and other contractual notices where required. * Review labour schedules against progress on site. * Maintain accurate chronological records of site progress to support payment applications. * Price variations and changes in accordance with subcontract agreements. * Review drawings and identify changes between tender and construction information. * Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, representatives and the supply chain. * Carry out regular site visits to assess and record progress. * Manage multiple subcontractors and contractors. * Compile subcontract orders, enquiries and pricing documentation. * Manage general subcontract procurement. Requirements * Minimum 4 years' Quantity Surveying experience. * Experience within façades, external envelope, roofing, cladding or flat roofing would be highly advantageous. * Degree qualified, ideally 2:1 or above. * Strong understanding of construction contracts, particularly NEC, with knowledge of JCT Design & Build beneficial. * Experience managing subcontractors and supply chain procurement. * Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costs and cash flow.
