An established construction business based in Sunbury-on-Thames is looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company. This is an office-based role suited to someone with a strong background in construction finance who is confident managing company accounts, ensuring compliance, and providing accurate financial reporting. Experience using Xero is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day finance function.
  • Oversee sales and purchase ledger activities.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Manage cash flow and company budgets.
  • Process and reconcile bank accounts.
  • Administer CIS returns and ensure compliance.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Manage payroll liaison where required.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
  • Assist with year-end accounts and liaise with external accountants.
  • Monitor company expenditure and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained accurately and in line with current legislation.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Finance Manager or Senior Finance professional.
  • Construction industry experience is essential.
