About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing Building Services consultancy based in Newmarket. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong technical knowledge and a proven background in mechanical building services design. The role would suit someone located within a commutable distance of Newmarket who is happy to work from the office at least 3 days per week. You will be involved in the design and delivery of a variety of commercial, residential, education, and mixed-use projects from concept through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce mechanical building services designs including HVAC, heating, ventilation, and public health systems
  • Prepare detailed calculations, specifications, and technical reports
  • Coordinate designs with internal and external project teams
  • Attend client and design meetings
  • Support project delivery from feasibility through to construction stage
  • Ensure designs comply with current regulations and industry standards
  • Liaise with contractors, architects, and consultants throughout project delivery
  • Mentor and support junior engineers where required

Requirements

Minimum 6-7 years experience within Mechanical Building Services.
