An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a Major Projects division within a fast-growing specialist construction subcontractor. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing a portfolio of high-value projects while managing an established delivery team. You will play a key role in shaping project delivery, improving operational performance, and contributing to the continued growth of the business.

You will take ownership of a portfolio of approximately 10 live projects, each valued between £1 million and £4 million, across sectors including:
- Commercial
- Education

You will lead an experienced project delivery team, including:
- Project Quantity Surveyor
- Site Manager
- Site Supervisor
- Contracts Coordinator
Working directly with senior leadership, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, commercially and operationally to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Major Projects team across multiple live contracts.
- Take overall responsibility for project delivery from pre-construction through to completion.
- Manage project programmes, resources and client expectations.
- Monitor project profitability, budgets, CVRs and commercial performance.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Work closely with commercial, pre-construction, procurement and operations teams.
- Support business growth through exceptional project delivery and repeat business.
- Drive continuous improvement across systems, reporting and project controls.
- Mentor and develop members of the delivery team.
- Maintain high standards of quality, health & safety and compliance.

The First Six Months
- Weeks 1-2: Structured induction programme. Introduction to live projects. Meet internal teams, suppliers and key clients. Gain understanding of company processes and delivery standards.
- Months 1-3: Begin taking ownership of projects. Work alongside the existing leadership team. Build relationships with clients and subcontractors. Understand reporting, commercial controls and operational expectations.
- Months 4-6: Identify improvements across communication and project delivery. Enhance reporting and project controls. Introduce efficiencies where appropriate. Become fully integrated into the leadership team.
