We are seeking an experienced and motivated Asbestos Removal Manager to oversee and manage licensed asbestos removal works from start to finish. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and in full compliance with current legislation and HSE guidance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage licensed asbestos removal projects from planning through to completion
- Ensure full compliance with HSE regulations, ACOP L143, and internal procedures
- Prepare and review plans of work, risk assessments, and method statements
- Liaise with clients, analysts, site teams, and enforcing authorities as required
- Oversee site supervisors and operatives, ensuring high standards of workmanship
- Monitor health & safety performance and implement corrective actions where needed
- Manage project schedules, resources, and budgets
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
Requirements
- Proven experience managing licensed asbestos removal works
- Strong knowledge of asbestos legislation and HSE guidance
- Relevant asbestos qualifications (e.g. BOHS P405 or equivalent)
- SMSTS or SSSTS qualification desirable
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Full UK driving licence
