Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services An established building services consultancy is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join the team and contribute to a variety of exciting and technically challenging projects. About the Role: This is a great opportunity for a motivated and experienced electrical design engineer with a minimum of 7 years of relevant design experience. The role is ideal for someone looking to grow their career within a supportive environment that encourages professional development, including mentorship towards Chartered Engineer status. Project Experience Includes: * Network Rail and London Underground schemes * University laboratories, lecture theatres, and schools * Decarbonization strategies and sustainability-focused projects * Refurbishment of listed and historic buildings This role involves working on complex refurbishment projects, often as the lead or sole consultant, taking on responsibilities such as Principal Designer, Contract Administrator, and Project Manager. Engineers are given the opportunity to manage projects from concept through to completion, often handling multiple projects simultaneously. Flexible Working: A flexible working approach is offered. While office collaboration and site visits are essential, remote working up to 2 days per week is supported depending on project needs. Location: The office is easily accessible via major transport links, making commuting straightforward for those in and around Greater London or the surrounding counties. Preferred Qualifications: * BEng (Hons), MSc or MEng in Electrical or Building Services Engineering * Minimum 7 years of electrical design experience within building services * Strong technical knowledge and ability to manage projects through all design stages * Passion for sustainable design and refurbishment work
