We are currently seeking an experienced Groundworks Surveyor to join our growing team, working across residential and commercial projects in Hertfordshire and nearby regions.
This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a strong background in groundworks measurement, cost control, and subcontractor management.
Key Responsibilities:- Preparing and managing cost plans, budgets, and forecasts
- Measuring and valuing groundworks packages
- Preparing and negotiating subcontractor tenders and accounts
- Managing variations, valuations, and final accounts
- Supporting project teams with commercial and contractual matters
- Ensuring costs are controlled and projects remain commercially viable
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Groundworks Surveyor / Quantity Surveyor role
- Strong understanding of groundworks, civil engineering, and infrastructure packages
- Experience on residential or mixed-use developments preferred
- Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence
- Must be based in or near Hertfordshire
