Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced senior delivery professional to lead our Major Fit-Out Projects division. The role is responsible for overseeing a large number of live fit-out and refurbishment projects, typically valued between £100k and £1.5m.
This role is not about running individual projects day to day. It sits above live delivery and focuses on how projects are set up, managed, resourced, controlled and reported across the business.
You will manage a team of Project Managers, each running multiple projects, and oversee planning, document control and surveying support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Project Management team
- Balance workloads and resources across multiple live projects
- Set and maintain delivery processes, standards and reporting
- Provide oversight of programme, risk and delivery performance
- Act as the main escalation point for delivery and resourcing issues
- Own portfolio-level reporting and forecasting
- Line manage Project Managers, Planner, Document Controller and Surveying function
- Work closely with commercial, technical and senior management teams
Candidate Profile
This role would suit someone currently working as a Project Director, Senior Contracts Manager, Operations Manager or Head of Delivery within a fit-out contractor.
You should have strong experience working in a fast-paced fit-out environment and be comfortable managing multiple projects through others, rather than delivering individual jobs yourself.
