As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of façade replacement and external envelope refurbishment projects across Newcastle and the surrounding region. You will oversee all aspects of project delivery from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, you will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors, manage client relationships, and ensure compliance with all health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

Role Overview

  • Managing façade replacement and cladding refurbishment projects from mobilisation through to practical completion.
  • Coordinating site operations, ensuring safety and adherence to health & safety legislation.
  • Leading and managing site staff and subcontractors.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
  • Monitoring programme performance.
  • Coordinating procurement of materials and plant.
  • Ensuring quality and installation standards are met.
  • Overseeing inspection and testing.
  • Approving subcontractor progress.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Preparing reports.
  • Liaising with design teams.
  • Managing variations and contractual documentation.
  • Overseeing snagging and commissioning.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation.
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Continuous Improvement

You will contribute to the continued development of the business by promoting best practice in facade installation and project delivery, supporting continuous improvement of Quality, Environmental, and Management Systems (QEMS), identifying efficiencies, encouraging collaborative working, supporting training and development of site personnel, and driving a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
  • SMSTS.
  • CSCS Managers Card.
  • First Aid at Work.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

  • Experience delivering projects under the Building Safety Act and PAS 9980 guidance.
  • Knowledge of fire remediation and combustible cladding replacement.
  • Experience using Asta Powerproject or Microsoft Project.

Experience & Skills

Essential

  • Proven experience managing façade replacement, cladding remediation, or external envelope projects.
  • Strong understanding of rainscreen cladding, brick slip systems, render systems, curtain walling, windows, and external wall insulation.
  • Experience managing scaffolding and temporary works.
  • Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Commercial awareness and budget management experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple subcontractors simultaneously.
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office and project management software.

Desirable
