We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Contracts Manager to join our growing team and support the delivery of works for a newly secured client.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys both the commercial and operational aspects of construction and wants to play a key role in developing a long-term client relationship.
The role will primarily focus on commercial cost management, with the opportunity to become more involved in project and contract management as the role develops.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage subcontractor valuations and payment applications.
- Prepare and submit client valuations and invoices.
- Monitor project costs and ensure commercial performance is maintained.
- Assist with cost reporting, forecasting, and financial control.
- Attend the client's site in Manchester approximately twice per week.
- Support the successful delivery of projects across the North West.
- Prepare client progress reports and programme updates.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to ensure projects run efficiently.
- Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
- Assist with contract administration and project documentation.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor, Commercial Manager, or Contracts Manager.
- Strong understanding of subcontractor valuations, invoicing, and cost control.
- Good commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience producing progress reports and monitoring project programmes is desirable.
- Strong communication and client-facing skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Willingness to travel to Manchester twice per week and work across North West projects.
