An established and growing main contractor specialising in modular construction is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Education division on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a forward-thinking business delivering modern, sustainable education facilities across London and the South East.
The Role
- You will take full commercial responsibility for modular education projects from pre-contract through to final account.
- Working closely with project teams, design managers, and supply chain partners, you will ensure strong commercial control and successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Full commercial management of modular education projects
- Cost planning, forecasting, and CVR reporting
- Procurement and management of subcontract packages
- Change control, variations, and client valuations
- Final accounts and financial close-out
- Supporting and mentoring junior commercial staff where required
- Collaborative working with construction, design, and manufacturing teams
About You
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor
- Experience delivering education projects such as schools, colleges, SEN or university buildings
- Experience in modular, MMC, or offsite construction is desirable but not essential
- Strong understanding of design and build contracts
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
