Mechanical Project Manager Cleanroom & Laboratory Fit-Out | Oxford & London Salary: Competitive, depending on experience Location: Oxford & London Job Type: Permanent The Role We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a specialist team delivering high-specification cleanroom, laboratory, pharmaceutical and technical fit-out projects across Oxford and London. This is a hands-on project delivery role, taking responsibility for mechanical packages from pre-construction and design coordination through procurement, installation, commissioning and handover. Experience within cleanrooms, laboratories, life sciences, pharmaceutical or other highly regulated environments would be highly advantageous. Key Responsibilities * Take full ownership of mechanical project delivery from design through to completion. * Manage mechanical packages across cleanroom, laboratory and specialist fit-out projects. * Coordinate HVAC, ventilation, ductwork, pipework, heating, cooling and associated mechanical services. * Manage project programmes, budgets, procurement and resources. * Coordinate mechanical works with electrical, construction, BMS and specialist trades. * Manage subcontractors, suppliers and site teams. * Review drawings, specifications and technical submissions. * Attend client, consultant and project progress meetings. * Manage RFIs, technical queries, variations and project documentation. * Monitor progress against programme and proactively resolve delivery issues. * Ensure works are delivered safely, to specification and within budget. * Oversee testing, commissioning, snagging and final handover. * Support O&M documentation and close-out. * Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and the wider project team. * Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, quality and technical standards. Requirements * Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within building services or specialist fit-out. * Strong technical understanding of mechanical building services. * Experience with HVAC, ventilation, ductwork and mechanical pipework. * Previous experience delivering complex fit-out projects. * Cleanroom, laboratory, pharmaceutical, life sciences or other regulated-environment experience is highly desirable. * Strong project planning, commercial and procurement skills. * Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams. * Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications. * Strong client-facing and communication skills. * Relevant Mechanical Engineering / Building Services qualification is advantageous. * SMSTS/SSSTS and CSCS desirable. * Full UK driving licence.
