A well-established specialist contractor within the structural steelwork and architectural metalwork sector is looking to recruit an experienced Draughtsman to join its growing team in Leicester. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong Tekla and CAD skills to work on a diverse range of projects, producing accurate fabrication and installation drawings for structural steel and architectural metalwork packages.

Working from the company’s Leicester office, you will be responsible for producing detailed technical drawings and models for a variety of steelwork and metalwork projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Producing detailed fabrication and GA drawings using Tekla Structures and AutoCAD.
  • Creating accurate 3D models for structural steelwork and architectural metalwork projects.
  • Liaising with project managers, engineers, and fabrication teams.
  • Reviewing project specifications and architectural drawings.
  • Ensuring drawings comply with project requirements and industry standards.
  • Assisting with design coordination and resolving technical queries.
  • Supporting projects from initial design through to manufacture and installation.
